On December 5, 201, schoolchildren of 11th grades at the Public Institution, Nicopol Secondary School for Grades I-III with Advanced Curriculum of Natural sciences and Mathematics No. 26 received a diploma for participating in the project “Promoting Technical and Environmental Higher Education” – PROMETHE-U.S.
Thank you for joining the project PROMETHE-U.S. and being part of it.
You are a very appreciative audience !!!
The training “Robotics” under the project “PROMETHE-U.S.” was held on November, 30 in Sofiivka-Borshchagovska Secondary school.
Katerina Romanova, Project Manager, at the beginning of the training told schoolchildren about engineering jobs and its benefits.
As part of the project “PROMETHE-U.S. – Promoting Environmental and Technical Higher Education”, the first training dedicated to energy saving was held on November 19, 2018. The training was attended by 62 schoolchildren of secondary schools № 6 and № 26 in Nikopol. Read More
On 6 November 2018 the fourth Global Chemical Leasing Award Ceremony took place in Vienna, Austria as a part of the Green Chemistry Conference 2018.
Chemical Leasing is a service-orientated circular economy business model that can effectively address the different sustainability dimensions of chemical use. It aims to simultaneously create financial, environmental and human well-being. Chemical Leasing is also considered part of Green Chemistry and the basis of the model is the idea that economic success no longer depends on the volume of chemicals sold, but on the service that is linked with the chemicals. The business partners and the environment shall benefit from the co-creation of jointly developed resource-efficient and innovative solutions and fair profit-sharing as well as reducing the risks of chemicals and protecting human health. The Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre has become the first in Ukraine who got accredited by Ugrgasbank JSB. From now on, the RECPC has been empowered to conduct energy audits within ECO-banking strategy.
Ugrgasbank JSB has been guided with a strategy supporting the clients, which have been implementing resource efficient projects and the ones focused on decreasing the negative footprint on the environment.
We do appreciate this brilliant occasion to go on the cooperation with the state-owned bank in providing support to industrial companies, especially those ones showing and holding strong responsibility towards production processes quality and aiming at strengthening their own competitiveness, thus adding to national industrial competitiveness.

The price for energy resources is getting up every year and this causes difficulties for business – withstanding competition and keeping reasonable prices for commodities become really a challenge. How to make the right choice when looking for the most suitable strategy for energy consumption optimization? What items should be of top priority? These were the key issues in focus of the webinar dubbed ‘Applying an integrated approach in using renewables for heat and cold production and supply in industry’. The event was successfully held by the National RECP Centre on September 13th, 2018.
The workshop for Energy efficient electricity use in Industrial electrical systems and Buildings in Ukraine was held on June 18-19, 2018 at the State Higher Educational Institution “Kyiv Electromechanical College”. This event was organized by the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre.
Mr. Holger Papst and Mr. Christoph Hauser, the representatives of Lenum AG, Switzerland, electrical engineers with international experience in energy efficiency of production processes were the trainers of the event.
Participants of the workshop were 2nd-3rd years students of the college. During the 2-days training they got to know about the environmental impacts of energy sources and consumption, paid attention on the main consumers of energy in industry, electrical systems and buildings, reviewed BAT and BAPs,...
Resource efficient economy scaling up has become a trend for developed countries. The European Commission launched its ‘Roadmap to a Resource-Efficient Europe’ and the ‘Action Plan for the Circular Economy’ in 2015. Thus, average resource productivity in Europe in the period 2000-2016 showed 1,5 times increase – from 1.47 to 2.08 euros/kg.
This has been the topic subject of today’s press-conference organized within the ‘Platform for Green Economy Growth’ participants – Ihor Shylovych, Director of the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre, Viacheslav Potapenko, Director of the Institute of Green Economy, Andrii Vorfolomeiev, Deputy National Coordinator for Demonstration RECP Component under ‘Greening Economies in the European Union’s Eastern Neighbourhood’ Programme (EaP GREEN), Taras Sakalosh, Director Executive of the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre.
The workshop “Life cycle analysis (LCA) as the RECP concept component” took place on April 27, 2018, at the Governing Body Hall at Igor Sikorsky KPI. The teachers and post graduate students became the workshop audience. Fredy Dinkel from Switzerland, representing Carbotech AG senior partner, was invited as the key speaker.
The workshop covered various topics and these were: LCA benefits, methods and implementation examples while carrying out and targeting the production processes. Apart from the above, an environmental and economic innovative program aiming to analyze the RECP implementation measures was also presented at the workshop. The program dubbed “PEER v. 1.13”.was developed by KPI students.
