CIRCULAR ECONOMY FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

On 15 December 2021, the National Conference “CIRCULAR ECONOMY FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT” within the EU-funded “EU4Environment” Action took place virtually, in Ukraine. INFORMATION MEETING ON INDUSTRIAL WASTE MAPPING IN THE SLAVUTA CITY TERRITORIAL COMMUNITY

 

On November 18, 2021 an information meeting was held online on industrial waste mapping (IWM) for enterprises from the Slavuta City Territorial Community within the “Circular Economy and New Growth Opportunities” component of the EU-funded “EU4Environment” Action in Ukraine. It was another meeting of the representatives of the Slavuta City Territorial Community (CTC), industrial companies, local authorities and departments, environmental experts, representatives of UNIDO and Sweco (Sweden). The event focused on learning about the results of industrial waste management activities, discussing lessons learned, benefits and new opportunities from waste mapping for industrial enterprises in the target CTC. I-GO Rolls-out Pilot in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia Region to Support SMEs Access Sustainable Public Procurement

The I-GO initiative is piloting its deployment in the Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) region through the United Nations Development Account (UNDA) Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) project to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) improve their market opportunities.
Apart from strengthening national capacity to implement sustainable public procurement measures, the SPP project also aims to directly support businesses comply with associated sustainability criteria by increasing their understanding of what is required to access new sustainability-based markets.
I-GO’s approach will help SMEs in the region access a tailored range of knowledge products and support services that can help them improve the resource efficiency of their operations and products and/or services to be able to comply with sustainable public procurement criteria.

Regional Meeting “Greening SMEs in the Eastern Partnership Countries”

The “European Union for Environment” (EU4Environment) Action, funded by the European Union, supports the integration of eco-innovative business approaches in the EaP countries and contributes to the “greening” of SMEs, i.e. reducing their environmental impacts while improving environmental performance and productivity growth of SMEs.

We invite everyone to join a 2-day Regional Meeting “Greening Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in the Eastern Partnership Countries” that will take place virtually on 29 and 30 June 2021. The Meeting is organized in the framework of the EU-funded “EU4Environment” Action.

The objective of the Meeting is to review progress in greening SMEs and to discuss opportunities for strengthening the competitiveness of these businesses, with benefits for the broader environment.
