Advisory Services for Energy Efficiency in Companies (GIZ)

Energy intensity of Ukraine’s economy is three-four times higher than the EU average. The industry and trade sectors account for over 40 per cent of energy consumption. High energy costs are putting a strain on companies and making them less competitive. However, small and micro enterprises, in particular, have the potential to reduce their energy consumption by 30 to 50 per cent. The project is designed to help SMEs use their resource and energy efficiency potential


Using demonstration companies as case studies to help other enterprises significantly reduce GHG emissions and reduce Ukraine’s dependence on energy imports. Initiate energy modernization of Ukrainian industry and showcase the implementation of energy and resoruce efficiency measures focusing on climate protection

Project activities

  • Energy audits according to ISO 50002 (type 2 and 3)
  • Organizing trainings for the staff (production facilities, management, boiler house, and administration)

RECP Centre's role

The Centre is empowered to act as a consultancy company. It’s basic duties are delivering trainings and conducting energy audits in accordance with ISO 50002: 2014. In addition, the Centre is in charge of elaborating technically and economically sound investment projects on energy efficiency (EE) in the “non-metallic building materials” sector
