Applying for the ChL Award-2018: practical tips

Igor Sikorsky KPI warmly hosted a workshop ‘Chemical Leasing: an intelligent and integrated business-model for sustainable chemicals management’ on April, 17, 2018. Apart from familiarizing the participants with economic, environmental and social advantages resulting from maximum efficient chemicals management, the event targeted on demonstrating sustainable chemicals management benefits in business development.

During the seminar, participants demonstrated examples of successful practices in the implementation of Chemical Leasing around the world that serve and encourage enterprises to implement this business model, identify the factors, requirements and opportunities for the successful implementation of the Chemical Leasing concept in Ukraine in order to promote the competitiveness of domestic enterprises in the world market.

The seminar pinned on sharing the BAPs in ChL implementation worldwide. These practices serve as the drivers to facilitate national companies to pick up this particular business model. The workshop appeared fruitful and helped identify requirements, motives and importance of successful ChL implementation in Ukraine aiming to support national companies become more competitive and recognized in the international market.

The workshop discussions helped the participants come up with the following:

  • Analyze chemicals management status quo in general;
  • Get familiar with a ChL concept and sustainable chemicals use;
  • Consider efficient ChL model implementation in Ukraine: opportunities, perspectives and challenges;
  • Study BAPs in Chemical Leasing implementation at the companies (globally on the planet);
  • identify drivers and requirements encouraging and promoting Chemical Leasing concept implementation in Ukraine;
  • Get familiar with the Global Chemical Leasing Award-2018 and identify potential areas for applications and further participation in the award.

The second half of the workshop was transformed into a brainstorm session aiming to generate various ideas in regard to participate in Global ChL Award.
