RECP Centre held a webinar ‘Applying an integrated approach in using renewables for heat and cold production and supply in industry’

The price for energy resources is getting up every year and this causes difficulties for business – withstanding competition and keeping reasonable prices for commodities become really a challenge. How to make the right choice when looking for the most suitable strategy for energy consumption optimization? What items should be of top priority? These were the key issues in focus of the webinar dubbed ‘Applying an integrated approach in using renewables for heat and cold production and supply in industry’. The event was successfully held by the National RECP Centre on September 13^th, 2018.

The webinar was organized to reach the most significant goal, and that is informing the target audience on RECP concept benefits in choosing the best ways to overall costs reduction in running industrial systems of heat and cold supply.

The webinar broadcast joined technical engineers and power engineering specialists, University tutors from Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia and Lviv.

Mrs. Ella Dmytrochenkova and Mr. Evhen Novakivskii acted as the webinar speakers. THe following issues were in focus of discussion:

1. RECP principles and in-plant implementation.
2. Heat consumption rates for space heating systems; cold supply rates.
3. Estimating the price for heat generated from various energy sources.
4. Estimating the price for cold generated from various energy sources; waste heat.
5. Heat and cold recuperation in ventilation systems.
6. Boiler facilities setup, O&M.
7. Coolant distribution; balancing the heating system.
8. Cooling facilities setup, O&M.
