Training on circular economy

 

On December 20th, 2019 within EU4Environment programme framework (financed by EU) Johannes Fresner delivered a training “Circular Economy” to RECP Centre staff. The trainer Johannes Fresner has been for years the UNIDO expert and the Executive Director for STENUM GmbH, Austria.

The training incorporated two activity sessions, there were several lectural theoretical sessions and many interesting practical activities for the staff members.  

 

The agenda covered the following items: 

• CE concept;
• the need to transfer from linear to CE;
• CE practices and case studies;
• LCA;
• mastering renewables; 
• developing CE business models. 

The training on CE concept and principles offered a somewhat new and at the same time old topic, making the participants recall some knowledge from the past when Ukrainians had no idea about single use products and implemented only Reuse, Recycle, Remanufacture, Replace principles in their everyday live, which are actually the foundation of CE concept. Practical sessions forced the participants to analyse, compare and choose the best options, offer examples from personal life in engineering. 

6 women and 11 men became the training active participants (17 staff members in total).
