The Third RECP Club Meeting In Khmelnytskyi within EU4Environment Programme

13 February 2020 became the date for the third RECP Club meeting in Khmelnytskyi within EU4Environment programme financed by the EU.

This time the meeting discussions were devoted to global challenges and risks for business development, applying RECP-concept to overcome problems, RECP benefits and opportunities, key reasons why energy and materials are consumed in an inefficient way, waste generation, and standard measures and options to enhance resource efficiency and minimize waste generation for industrial enterprises, who have become the RECP Club members thanks to the EU4Environment programme. The Club members presented printing, textile, food, metalworking and bioenergy industries.

Company representatives were talking about possible cooperation in recycling textile and rubber waste, effective supply of packaging materials, introducing environmental responsibility for businesses to reduce harmful emissions and ensure sustainable development.

The participants got to know more about RECP practices, the most efficient resource and material saving measures, low-waste technology examples; they started to create a RECP profile of their own enterprise, made the analysis of standard solutions and common problems in raw materials consumption and waste utilization.

To end up the meeting, its participants shared some key problems they had when working with self-assessment tools, and expressed their expectations towards the fourth RECP Club occasion.

10 people were present, 7 presented industrial companies. As for gender aggregation, it was 7:3 in favour of men.
