EU4Green Recovery East

EU4Green Recovery East is a regional EU-funded programme to support the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries

Project objective

The programme aims to develop a circular economy, reduce pollution (particularly of water resources) and improve resource management, while creating green jobs and opening up new opportunities for Ukraine and other Eastern Partnership countries. This will enable them to implement EU environmental standards, accelerate green recovery and reconstruction after russian aggression, and introduce sustainable environmental solutions, particularly in the areas of water and waste management. The programme will also promote harmonisation with European policy

Component 3: Support to legal approximation and implementation
Component 4: Institutional integration in EU-wide environmental cooperation, data management & digitalisation
Component 5: Transboundary environmental cooperation

RECP Centre's role

The RECP Centre is a national expert partner in developing the circular economy in Ukraine.

As part of the project, the Centre will carry out the following tasks:

  1. Circular Economy pilot projects in prioritized value chains
  2. National Circular Economy online training course
  3. RECP Clubs (revitalisation and CE integration)

The Recovery through a Circular Economy and Pollution Reduction in the Eastern Partnership countries programme supports the EaP countries to accelerate their development based on a growth model that is greener, more inclusive, and more resilient

EU4GRE implementing paetners

The programme is implemented by a consortium of EU Member State agencies from Austria and France, as well as international organisations (OECD, UNECE, and UNIDO). Within the consortium, Environment Agency Austria (UBA) is the Lead Partner in charge of overall coordination
