Regional Workshop ‘I-GO Assistant for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises and I-GO Network Launch’

We invite the representatives of organizations cooperating with small and medium-sized enterprises (such as business associations, development organizations, government agencies, NGOs, financial institutions and donors) to participate in the Regional Workshop – EU’s Eastern Partner and Central Asian countries on the presentation of the I-GO Assistant for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and the  I-GO network launch.
The online event is co-organised by the Green Industry Platform and the EU4Environment Action.

Workshop objectives:

present I-GO Initiative and IGO Assistant tool SME supporting organizations;
– report on the collaboration of I-GO Initiative and EU4Environment project regarding
   enhancing resource efficiency, knowledge and expertise exchange, demonstration, as well as RECP concept for SMEs;
– illustrate and discuss IGO Assistant tool, its advisability and benefits;
– launching I-GO Initiative and learning more about its benefits;
– showcase how I-GO Network can support national and regional RECP activities in RECP.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

On 15th December 2021, the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre is hosting the national conference “CIRCULAR ECONOMY FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT” within the “Circular Economy and New Growth Opportunities” Component of the EU-funded “EU4Environment” Action in Ukraine.

Conference objectives:
      – presenting the actions towards sustainable development: the circular economy concept, RECP,
          sustainable public procurement;
      – discussing the current progress in the transition to green economy;
      – raising awareness and understanding on the opportunities and benefits of RECP and
         Circular Economy principles at the national and regional levels among enterprises, government agencies, and the civil society;
      – describing the benefits and new opportunities related to waste management;
      – presenting the training course on Lean Production;
      – presenting Circular Economy principles and practices for companies in the context of the regional “EU4Environment” Action
         implemented in Ukraine.

Participants
The event is open to all stakeholders interested in and related to green economy, circular economy, resource efficient and cleaner production, and environmental protection.
The Conference is targeting the representatives from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine as National Focal Points of the Action, the EU Delegation, UNIDO and Sweco (Sweden), international and national organizations, industrial enterprises, local authorities and agencies, associations, financial institutions, universities, NGOs and other stakeholders.

Enhance Ukrainian small and medium enterprises’ capacity to access sustainable public procurement and broaden their markets.”

           • Introducing the opportunity for SMEs to avail of free expert support to assess their readiness
              for SPP sustainability criteria.
