Conference-2019 ‘Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy’
The final reporting conference ‘Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy’ took place on December 4th, 2019, and was organized by the RECP Centre team in a somewhat different 2-panel format. This year it became an integral part of the second Ukrainian Industrial Week in Ukraine. Presentation of the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Club in Khmelnytskyi oblast within the framework of the EU-funded EU4Environment programme


The Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Club (RECP Club) was presented in Khmelnytskyi Oblast within the framework of the EU-funded EU4Environment programme on November 25, 2019.
Over 22 participants became the event attendees, and almost 40% were women. The overall participants presented various social groups, like business supporting associations and governmental institutions, academia, mass media, public etc. The speakers informed the audience on the basic assignments and steps to implement the international programme ‘European Union for the Environment’ (EU4Environment) in Ukraine and its component ‘Circular Economy and New Growth Opportunities’. Presentation of the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Club in Poltava oblast


On November 20, 2019, the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Club (RECP Club) was presented in Poltava Oblast within the framework of the EU-funded EU4Environment programme.
This was actually an awareness raising event focused on demonstrating the benefits of resource efficient and cleaner production concept on the one hand, and establishing RECF clubs in Poltava region on the other hand. The event was organized within the framework of ‘European Union for the Environment’ (EU4Environment) programme and its component ‘Circular Economy and New Growth Opportunities’, implemented by the RECP Centre in Ukraine.
Over 40 attendees became the participants of the event, businesses, academia experts, NGOs and state authorities among them.

10th October, 2019 updated the RECP Centre’s calendar history by adding another information event and that was a day of the Panel discussion among agricultural players in the national economy. The conference hall located at the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs could barely accommodate over 50 participants eager to join the discussion on energy saving and resource efficiency in processing and agro sectors. On October 9, 2019, a small conference hall at the Exhibition Centre ‘South Expo’ (Lviv) hosted a conference ‘Resource Efficiency in Construction Industry’ organized by the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre. The conference became the part of an Autumn Construction Forum 2019, yearly held in the field of design, construction and repair works. New Opportunities to Attract Energy Audits Financing

The RECP Centre together with its long-standing partner Ukrgasbank, PJSC offers a new product for small and medium businesses (SMEs), and these are energy audits on favorable loan basis terms (https://www.ukrgasbank.com/small_bussiness/credit/energoaud/).
From now on, SMEs can address the RECP Centre and order an energy audit service by attracting funds from Ukrgasbank at 11.5% per annum.
The energy audit report will be used as a business plan for energy modernization activities at the enterprises. Thus, the energy audit will serve as the first step in implementing energy efficiency investment projects.

Workshop for Universities Teaching Staff in Lviv
In May 2019, the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre carried out another informational workshop “RECP Course Integration into University Curriculum. Benefits and Opportunities”, this time on May 15th in Lviv, for University teachers. The National Forestry and Wood-Technology University of Ukraine (NFWTU) provided support to the event and hosted it in its spacious conference hall. The workshop gathered in one place teaching staff of the following educational institutions, namely National Forestry and Wood-Technology University of Ukraine, National University “Lvivska Politechnika”, Lviv National Agrarian University, Stepan Gzhytskyi National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies (Lviv), Lviv State University of Life Safety. The representatives of Lviv Oblast Administration (Lviv ODA) showed interest towards informational event and attended it too.
