The online course “Lean Manufacturing in Furniture Sector” is about to be launched in Ukraine.
Lean is a breakthrough approach to management and quality management that ensures long-term competitiveness without significant investments.
The online course is focused on lean production in the furniture production segment and considers the differences between companies in the made-to-order furniture segment and the mass-produced furniture segment.
The course will be particularly useful for small and medium-sized furniture companies in Ukraine.

On 15 December 2021, the National Conference “CIRCULAR ECONOMY FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT” within the EU-funded “EU4Environment” Action took place virtually, in Ukraine. The event started off with a promotional video on Circular Economy, developed and designed by the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) Centre in Ukraine as part of the EU4Environment Action.
On November 30, 2021 the third and final within a series of live workshops “Transforming Sustainability into New Business Opportunities. Enhance Ukrainian small and medium enterprises’ capacity to access sustainable public procurement and broaden their markets” was held under the project “Enhancing sustainable public procurement (SPP) for the regional transition to inclusive green economy in the Eastern Europe, Caucuses and Central Asia (EECCA)” funded by the United Nations Development Account. This time the workshop targeted Ukrainian audience.

Enhance Kyrgyz small and medium enterprises’ (SMEs) capacity to access sustainable public procurement and broaden their markets” was held under the project “Enhancing sustainable public procurement (SPP) for the regional transition to inclusive green economy in the Eastern Europe, Caucuses and Central Asia (EECCA)” funded by the United Nations Development Account.
On November 24, 2021 an information meeting was held online on industrial waste mapping (IWM) for enterprises from the Slavuta City Territorial Community within the “Circular Economy and New Growth Opportunities” component of the EU-funded “EU4Environment” Action in Ukraine. It was another meeting of the representatives of the Slavuta City Territorial Community (CTC), industrial companies, local authorities and departments, environmental experts, representatives of UNIDO and Sweco (Sweden). The event focused on learning about the results of industrial waste management activities, discussing lessons learned, benefits and new opportunities from waste mapping for industrial enterprises in the target CTC.
